The Guntermann and Drunck CATVision™ unifies virtually all desirable KVM transmission capabilities in a single family of devices. The system consists of a computer module and remote workstation module and makes it possible to operate a computer from distances of up to 300 metres (max. value, resolution-dependent).
Through just one single CAT-x cable (x = 5, 6, 7), CATVision transmits keyboard, video and mouse signals, and optionally RS232 and audio as well. Through an additional CAT cable, USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 can also optionally be transmitted transparently.
Optimisation procedures in the CATVision automatically provide a good image and balance different cable lengths and cable qualities. In addition, the user can adjust the image to his needs with the user-friendly Individual Video Tuning (IVT) of G&D.

Optionally, an available delay module offers the compensation of cable-conditional runtime differences (46 ms per colour and channel).

The CATVision™ system is suited for deployment if a server must be controlled by means of a local and/or a remote workstation.
This way, operation of a server can be consigned to the administrator's console and the administrator has the additional possibility of operating servers in the server room.
